NUMBERED JERSEY

Almost all facilities, leagues, association rules stipulate that correct equipment include the NUMBERED JERSEY, and usually establish standards about how and where it should be, size., etc.

However, the official rules from United State Indoor Soccer Association have not mention about this item. Its rule 4 is: Players wear their team's uniform, consisting of the same colors, shin guards, and indoor footwear. Jewelry and other accessories are prohibited. The Goalkeeper wears jersey colors distinguished from all other field players and from the Referees

Ultimate Soccer, in New Jersey, for example, take US Indoor Association rules, but its home rule is: preferably with numbers

North Texas State Association rules are strict: numbers on shirts are mandatory: Minimum of 4 in size, permanently affixed to back of shirt, must be of contrasting color to that of the main body of the shirt. No exception is allowed for alternate shirts, numbers are required. Cover-ups are allowed as long as player wears numbered jersey underneath cover up. Compression shorts are permitted and do not have to be same (Rule 12.4.1).

Durham Leagues, in Ontario, establish: Numbered uniformsare to be supplied by players and are mandatory, and similar is the rule in Glendale, Illinois: \ All teams must have team uniforms that are the same in color and are numbered The numbers on the s hirt must be the same as the roster for each player

Keller Blue Sky (Texas) ruleTeams must wear like colored jerseys with a permanent number

Fixed pr permanent number is not a marked number, or one made with tape, that usually are banned in facilities that have mandatory rule about number. For the last: numbers are not only for stats, or control on the roster, they are usualy very helpful for referees, because they permit to indentify quickly players in action, and remember them easily.
