| ADVANTAGE AND SIX FOULS RULE Sometime
player complain when a referee call a foul in situations
that they understand must to receive the "advantage".
Rule 5, from The Law of the Game establish that ref can
"allows play to continue when the team against which
an offense has been committed will benefi t from such an
advantage and penalises the original offence if the
anticipated advantage does not ensue at that time".
In simple words: " a clause in the rules that
directs the referee to refrain from stopping play for a
foul if a stoppage would benefit the team that committed
the violation".
That simple and rule in outdoor games, may be more
difficult when you are in indoor games.
I think that is neccesary to find a balance between the
advantage rule and 6 foul count rule.
As we know, most facilities have the rule that when a
team has commited 6 foul in a half, the 6th is penalized
with shoot out.
Sometime, as a ref I prefer to call a foul (that add 1 to
the 6 count) instead to give an advantage in the team
half of the field, or in a situation that is not clearly
favorable.
